This sure is a lot more sturdy than wooden one it replaced. Daughter also bought one for small condo. Puts in her bathtub and collapses easily when not in useI hand wash enough clothes to use it. Came assembled built to last . When drip ? drying I put it in my tub so the water is contained.I needed a clothes drying rack that is shorter than my deck railing, due to rules and restrictions on drying laundry outside. I was going to get an umbrella clothesline for behind my home, but that would involve carrying laundry from the laundry room, up and down steps. Not good for an old lady!This handy rack is just the right height, and I can hide it behind deck chairs. It expand nicely.UPDATE: 8/9/22 - This item came with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. After using it for 2 months, one of the rods came loose. I tried to fix it, no luck. Contacted Household Essentials who denied me the warranty protection, as I purchased "used" from Amazon. The warranty was in the package, and it was sold in "very good condition."It won't hold an elephant and if you want to use it outside (on a deck or balcony) you'll need some weights for the legs, but it works for most things just fine and it's easy to fold and unfold. (watch the fingers)I like to review products after I’ve had a chance to use then for a bit. In this case, it’s been a decade! Yep, I purchased this in June 2012 and it is April 2022 as I write this. I actually just purchased a second one because one of the bars gave in because my son accidentally put his entire body weight (100lbs) on it as he was drying something. See pic. It’s still usable of course but I figured we’d gotten enough use out of this one :-). We’ve used this rack to dry baby clothes, towels, jeans and it has withheld everything. It has moved with us twice and is still standing strong. I recommend this rack!It is pretty cool, but is a little awkward to expand. Seems better if you expand and retract when it's folded up rather than when it's out.The plastic at the expanders has rough edges and could snag delicates.This is the exact same style of clothing rack that I had previously for years, however upon assembling the new rack I noticed it is about 6 inches shorter than my old rack which in turn causes clothing that is hung on hangers to to touch the floor. This appears to be a solid product in terms of construction, however keep an eye on the total height before purchasing this item to make sure it meets your needs.I bought this metal folding rack to replace a plastic one I used for 20 years that was giving out under the weight of heavy wet clothes. This sturdy easy to fold metal rack doesn’t hold as much because the bars are along the short side of the rack and there are only 9, even though the rack is rather tall. Few bars are very low because the legs cross rather high. My size medium soccer pants can fold over the bar but anything wider wouldn’t lie flat, Does however come with a net cover for drying one small sweater horizontally. See photo with size small camisole on it. Good for drying small heavy things I guess. I’m happy with this purchase but not everyone would be.I've owned this for quite a while and use it regularly.It's never been sturdy but I must admit that I suspected that would be the case when I saw it advertised. I needed something that folded down to save space.So it still does the job so I can dry clothes, towels, etc whether in the laundry room or outside (in nice weather). I'm pretty careful with it so the metal doesn't bend and never use it for real heavy items such as wet quilts or dog beds.It's lasting longer than I expected so I'm happy with it.Parece muy lindo... No encantan bien y se salen! es muy molesto cuando estas usándolo y colgando las cosas.... La verdad que por el precio la calidad no es muy buena, por ese precio me esperaba algo mejor. No lo regrese porque tiramos la caja. Creo que probare pegar las varillas a ver si funcionan mejor.20/05/2021. Pensé que era un poquito más alto. Las toallas de abajo casi rosan el suelo. Trae como una telita para colgar cosas arriba. A nosotros nos urgía algo así porque luego se nos olvida subir las toallas a colgar, así las colocas en los tubos, se secan, las doblas y te evitas subir a tenderlas. Nosotros tenemos espacio entonces no nos molesta, pero igual es muy ancho, supongo que en departamentos pequeños es mucho espacio y lio poner y quitar.Excelente diseño, el color y es un modelo súper práctico, el único pero es que para una de las patas falto un perno para engancharlo y no se puede usar así, tuvimos que improvisar con otra cosa para poderlo usar, las otras patas si venían bien solo 1 no, afortunadamente fue algo que pudimos arreglar de manera casera pero no debería pasarThe main components seem to be made of solid metal cylinders, but the poor design and poor build quality make this unit terrible.1. The exposed screws (at least the ones supplied) and exposed plastic is jagged and can tear clothes.2. The screws are unstable because of the poor build quality. This makes for a very wobbly unit.
